The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) is pleased to be accepting grant applications for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2013 COPS Hiring Program (CHP) for the hiring and rehiring of additional career law enforcement officers in an effort to create and preserve jobs and increase their community policing capacity and crime prevention efforts. The FY2013 CHP grant program is an open solicitation. All local, state, and tribal law enforcement agencies that have primary law enforcement authority are eligible to apply. All awards are subject to the availability of appropriated funds and any modifications or additional requirements that may be imposed by law.

Applications must be submitted via Grants.gov and the COPS Office Online Application System by 7:59 PM EDT on May 22, 2013.

I really appreciate Aaron’s approach to grant writing. He is with the PI throughout the entire process from development to submission, which is critical. He takes the time to really learn about the science that is being proposed and then helps with the technical parts - the writing, organization, etc. to make the proposal make sense from the first page to the last. Last year I became aware that the Department of Veterans Affairs released a notice of funding for their Grant Per Diem program, which was just the help we needed to sustain and grow our organization.
