The Westerly Education (WEC) will receive a $394,124 grant from the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training to train process technicians. This project is a partnership among many stakeholders, including: WEC, the Office of the Commissioner of Post Secondary Education, RI Dept. of Labor and Training, Community College of Rhode Island and more than a dozen biotechnology, environmental and pharma. companies. This innovative program will place 30-60 job seekers into good paying, career-oriented jobs each year and is renewable for up to 5 years (~ $1.1 million total). Aaron facilitated the planning process and drafted the winning proposal.
