Essentially it is a program to reduce point-source sewage discharge from vessels by establishing land-based\u00a0 pump-out stations at marinas or mobile pump-out stations. The state is requiring a 25% match and will provide up to $18, 750 for land-based systems and $56,250 for mobile systems.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Here are the first two paragraphs from the article (<a href=\"http:\/\/narragansett.patch.com\/articles\/dem-grant-applications-available-for-boat-pump-out-facilities?ncid=newsltuspatc00000001\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">read full article<\/span><\/a>):<br \/>\nThe Department of Environmental Management announces that it is now accepting applications from qualified public and private marinas, yacht clubs and municipalities to construct, replace, retrofit and maintain marine pump-out boats and land-based pump-out facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Up to $18,750 is available for each land-based facility grant, and up to $56,250 is available for each pump-out boat. Each type requires a 25 percent match.
